Remembrance Day Ceremony 2025

Remembrance Day marks the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month — the moment when hostilities ceased on the Western Front during World War I. Since then, this day has become a solemn occasion to honour and remember all those who have served and sacrificed in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping missions around the world.

With this in mind, we come together today to pay tribute to those who defended our values and freedoms, and to honour those who continue to serve our country with courage and dedication.

Today, we also wear the red poppy with pride and respect. It is a symbol of remembrance, resilience, and hope for a more peaceful future.

May we carry forward their spirit of service and commitment to peace. Let us strive to be worthy of the sacrifices made, and to build a future that honours their memory.

Lest we forget.
