Careers Week 2025

During Careers Week, students were offered a range of activities including presentations from guest speakers, and information booths to learn more about pathways and careers.

On Tuesday, seven industry representatives spoke to Year 10 students about emerging jobs and to advise students on what they can be doing now to be competitive for jobs or courses. Industries represented included Building & Construction, Health, Community Services and Hospitality & Tourism.

On Wednesday, Corporal Emma and Corporal Brent from the Australian Defence Force informed the Year 10s of pathways and career opportunities in the Armed Forces.

Thursday was University Day. Each of the five WA universities spoke to Year 10s about what a university course is and what options and pathways they can follow.

On Friday, the University of WA delivered a presentation on ‘Work of the Future’ to Year 9 students. This workshop encouraged students to think about possible careers and the changing nature of work.

On each of these days, the presenters set up ‘Pop-up Shops’ for Year 11 and 12 students to ask questions and collect information and course books.
