Ballajura Community College is proud to announce its partnership with the Australian Medical Association (AMA) as a host school for the delivery of the Certificate II in Community Health & Wellbeing course in 2026.
To prepare for this exciting opportunity, 24 students who have selected the Certificate course attended a career taster day at AMA’s Joondalup campus on Thursday, 4 December.

During the excursion, students gained valuable insight into current nursing industry demands and explored the pathways AMA offers, including:
- Certificate II in Community Health & Wellbeing
- Certificate III in Nursing Assistant
- Certificate IV in Preparation for Nursing and Health Studies
- Diploma in Nursing
Students also participated in practical, hands-on activities that provided a glimpse into what they will learn next year. These included checking blood pressure and heart rate, performing CPR and First Aid, and using medical PPE.

It was fantastic to see our students engaged, asking questions, and showing enthusiasm for the health industry. We look forward to supporting them as they take their first steps toward a rewarding career in healthcare.
