Year 12 Metalwork Students Collaborate on Stunning Project

The Year 12 Metalwork class has worked extremely well this year. The boys finished the year with sculpturing projects.

Tyler started the initial design of a stingray but left school to move on with his working life. Dale, Aiden, Cameron, Owen, Logan and Pedro all pitched in to complete the stunning stingray now proudly hanging above the Design and Technology office door.

Dale was project manager for the project; however, it was a team effort with many hours from all boys contributing to a magnificent sculptural piece, they can all be proud of.

Next year in Design and Technology, metalwork there will be a focus on metal sculpting with input from professional metal sculptural artists. This medium is growing in popularity with a focus on using sustainable recycled materials of which are the underlying principles of the Design and Technology department. It is hoped that in the future more stunning pieces will be created by our students.
